Day 1-3: Valparaíso

Valparaíso is known for its colorful tin-clad houses, historic elevators and street art full of politics and irony. View the dazzling ocean in front of the broad mountain silhouette. Meander attentively through the winding sidewalks on the hills of this freedom-loving coastal metropolis. Go up the myriad, exhilaratingly designed stairways of the port city. And in Viña del Mar, wonderful sandy beaches, green parklands and chic flair await you.

Day 3-6: Puerto Natales

You move on to the extreme south of Chile. Puerto Natales is the gateway to the grandiose phenomena of Patagonia. Discover the highlights of the renowned Torres del Paine National Park. Turquoise lakes and jagged granite mountains, floating ice floes and grazing guanacos combine to create an incomparable scenery of Patagonia. And on a boat trip, you cruise on the Fjord Última Esperanza to the glaciers Balmaceda and Serrano in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. It is rough out here and magical.

Day 6-8: El Calafate

For many travelers, the visit to the Moreno Glacier near El Calafate is the crowning glory of their South America trip. From time to time, you hear a powerful cracking sound as parts of the glacier break into the water. And you hike in Los Glaciares National Park near El Chaltén. With its striking granite peaks such as Fitz Roy, gleaming mountain lakes and hanging glaciers, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed reserve resembles a stunning Patagonia show.

Day 8-9: Ushuaia

Despite its isolated location, your upcoming destination Ushuaia at the southern tip of the American continent has a magnetic effect. The town on the southern side of Tierra del Fuego is home to countless stories – of travelers, adventurers, explorers as well as the native indigenous population. Ushuaia is framed by rugged mountains and accompanied by a fresh climate typical of the region.

Day 9-13: Tierra del Fuego Cruise

Massive glaciers and snowy mountains, penguin colonies, the historic Strait of Magellan and the legendary Cape Horn – this and more awaits you on your cruise in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego with the Australis. From Ushuaia you start your journey on the fjords of Tierra del Fuego towards Punta Arenas. And with Zodiac boats, you explore the natural spectacles up close. Day 13-14: Punta Arenas

Day 14-15: Santiago

Santiago is greeting you. Recap the past travel episodes in one of the stylish cafes of the center. And catch the visions, sounds and flavors of this city in full awareness. Thereby you feel the striking contrast between life in the country's secluded peripheries and the throbbing hustle and bustle of the metropolis.

Day 15-19: Rapa Nui / Easter Island

Your next destination between the continents of South America and Australia could hardly be more outlying. And perhaps you have never been so far from home. More than 3,500 kilometers west of the Chilean mainland, the legendary Easter Island / Rapa Nui rises out of the sea. Enigmatic ceremonial sites with proud Moai stone figures, volcanic relics and the dreamlike coastline create a mystique that you fully indulge in.

Day 19-21: Santiago

You return to the capital of Chile. Take a breath and stroll through historic streets and new hip neighborhoods. Spotlight the delicate work of creative potters, painters and jewelry designers at original market stalls. And sum up the past days on one of the many viewpoints overlooking the restless metropolis and the five- and six-thousand-meter peaks of the snow-covered Andes.
