Massive glaciers and snowy mountains, penguin colonies, the historic Strait of Magellan and the legendary Cape Horn – this and more awaits you on your cruise in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego with the Australis. Your vessel navigates you from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia. You first pass the Ainsworth Bay and the mighty Marinelli Glacier. With zodiacs, you approach colonies of Magellan Penguins and cormorants. The following day you cross the Beagle Channel, eternally meaningful for seafaring, and sail into Pía Bay. Here you go ashore and observe the natural spectacle from close up. In front of you towers the remarkable Pía Glacier, which rises from the mountain massif and pushes into the sea. Your journey continues along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel and you pass the renowned "Alley of Glaciers". On the fourth day, you sail through the Murray Channel and dock at Wulaia Bay, just like Charles Darwin did in his time. Shortly after, you wonder at the famous Cape Horn. This place is home to shipping tragedies, dramatic battles with nature and ecstatic explorers. History is in the air here. In the early morning of the fifth day, you finally reach the destination of your cruise and land in the port of Ushuaia.
