archipelago. Chiloé may appear to be a compact piece of land. But the archipelago is composed of one main island and more than 40 offshore islets. One of these is Isla
Quinchao, which you will visit. With its local handicrafts, homemade knitwear and original wooden churches, Quinchao introduces you to the culturally conscious world of the Chilotes.
On another day tour, you focus on the meadow-covered cliff near Cucao on the west side of the island. Here the artistic wooden footbridge Muelle del Alma leads curved into
the nothingness and leaves you to your thoughts. Listen to the maritime soundscape that, according to indigenous myth, illustrates the lamentations of lost souls. And in the nearby
Chiloé National Park, you can enjoy the island's abundant jungle vegetation. Another showpiece of Chiloé is its marine wildlife. About an hour's drive from Castro, Queilén is
the starting point of your boat tour. The round trip offers you brilliant encounters with sea lions, dolphins and even Magellan Penguins during the summer months.
